THE HISTORY OF GERALDTON BAPTIST CHURCH

The first Baptist pastor to Geraldton, Rev Eric Holland, arrived in 1963. With 20 official members and 110 children enrolled in Sunday School, the small congregation built the original church building for $12,000. This was financed through gifts and loans and from the yeild of 240 acres of wheat crop.

Geraldton Baptist Church celebrated its 42nd anniversary with the opening of a new church audtiorium on March 6, 2005.
