Basis of Faith

1. The existence of God in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

2. The Deity, virgin Birth, incarnation and perfect humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

3. The Deity of the Holy Spirit and His work in the regeneration of people and in their sanctification.

4. The Divine Inspiration and authority of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.

5. The Personality and malignancy of the devil. And the fallen, sinful and lost estate of all mankind.

6. The salvation of people from the penalty and power of sin through the Lord, Jesus Christ. His perfect obedience, shed blood, atoning death, bodily resurrection from the dead, ascension to the right hand of the Father and eternal priesthood.

7. The necessity of repentance towards God and of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

8. The Church Universal being the company of all who have been born again and who have been formed by the Holy Spirit into one body of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the head.

9. The Ordinance of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism being the full immersion of believers upon their profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a symbol of their fellowship in his death, burial and resurrection. The Lord’s supper being a memorial for believers, until He comes, of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

10. The visible bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead.

11. The final judgement of all people by the Lord Jesus, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed and the eternal punishment of the unrepentant.
